I went to bed singing this song and woke up still sing! I could not quite remember all the words…oh what an encouragement this beautiful, old hymn is to me.
All the way my Savior leads me, what have I to ask beside? Can I doubt his tender mercy, who through life has been my guide?
Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort, here by faith in him to dwell:
For I know, what-e’er befall me, Jesus doeth all things well. All the way, my Savior leads me, cheers each winding path I tread,
Gives me grace for every trial, feeds me with the living bread.
Though my weary steps may falter, and my sould athirst may be,
Gushing from the rock before me, lo, a spring of joy I see! All the way my Savior leads me- O the fullness of his love!
Perfect rest to me is promised in my Father’s house above:
When my spirit clothed, immortal, wings its flight to realms of day,
This my song through endless ages; Jesus led me all the way! This hymn was written by a lady named Fanny Crosby, who was blinded at 6 weeks because of an incompetent doctor. She wrote over 8,000 songs throughout her life, a beautiful life of praise to the King! We are praying that we continue to follow the way Jesus leads us. He is before us, has tread the path in advance; we only need to listen for his voice and take the next step. Praying for great wisdom to know his way for this journey. Thank you for praying with us! He goes ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. A stranger they will not follow; but they will flee from him….John 10:4&5 Do you know his voice, have you seen his heart of love for you? Jesus, the Good Shepherd, calls us, goes before us, holds us. But only if you know him.
