Spring, Nesting, and a Small, Little One

I can’t believe the time is here! New life. Little Eleanora Hope. We are counting down the days until we hold her in our arms.

The plan is for El to be born sometime between April 2-6! We are trying to have her as naturally as possible for a baby 37 weeks. My midwife will strip my membrane on April 2 and hopefully I will deliver in the following 24 hours, this is our prayer. We are encouraged because we have been given more time to recover and be with El than we originally thought. I will have a CT scan and Bone scan on April 20th followed by an appointment with my oncologist the next week. We will then start 12 weeks of chemotherapy.

God’s goodness and continual grace continue to amaze us! I will hopefully be able to breastfeed El until I start chemo, which is such a gift to me. Also, from looking at the many ultrasounds of little El, it appears that she has a head full of hair! The bald spots on my head are starting to grow back so little one and I might look like we have the same hair do.

The hands and feet of the body of Christ have continued to touch us each week. We are so grateful for the letters of encouragement, meals, monetary gifts, and love displayed in many forms we receive each week. What a testament to Jesus love for us.

Our prayers for the next few weeks are:
A smooth, quick birth without complications
Healthy little El, able to come home Easy Breastfeeding Clear scans on April 20th
Thankful for the gift of time before the next round of chemo
