Children truly are a gift of God. Each one reflects Christ in a way that is unique to them. We have been so blessed to have 3 healthy children and have been eagerly discussing what the new little one is, girl or boy. Madi was hoping for a boy so that both she and Abi would have a prince when they played princesses. Abi just loves babies. All Rem wants is to throw the ball to the dog.

Last Thursday I had an appointment with my high risk ob. Derek was unable to go so we decided to have them put the ultrasound picture in an envelope and I would wait to open it with Derek. Oh, it was hard not to peek! Madi, Abi, and Rem are going to have a new little sister. A little girl. We are overjoyed and have decided to name her Xenia, Princess Warrior. She is going to be a fighter and we need a name that goes along with Remington. Actually, we have no idea what her name will be, thankfully we have plenty of time. It is so exciting to think about our little girl and pray for her. I have prayed for all of our children before they were born. Prayed that they would call Jesus their Lord and Savior, that they would have a gentle, teachable spirit, a heart that seeks after Jesus, and to be healthy. I am praying the same things for my sweet, little girl but I am also praying this verse for her:

“Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.” Ps. 34:5

It is true that God has a perfect plan for each of our children and I feel that our little girl is being protected for something glorious that the name of Christ be lifted high. He is worthy of all praise! Oh, how good and gracious He is. On a side note, I do ask for special pray for Madi, Abi, and Rem. They all have colds and have had trouble sleeping. My oncologist said to stay away from sick people so……healthy children would be great! As I think of our little girl growing, I sing!

Come thou fount, of every blessings,
Tune my heart to sing thy praise,
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise,
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Song by flaming tongue above.
Praise the mount, I’m fixed upon it,
Mount of thy redeeming love.
